The Septic Circle

This 'not-very-psychic' circle are actually a gathering of oddly matched folk with purported psychic talents or ‘gifts’. These' special' people from all walks (or crawls) of life come together several times a week to bathe in the congealed pool of their collected paranormal ‘talents’. Discussions such as haunted houses, ghosts, and how to get ectoplasm out of a beige carpet abound. Riveting and scientifically worthless activities such as Tarot, pendulum divining, and tea-leaf reading occupy the time of all but the most sceptical of them (all one of him) and are chronicled here.

This site reports the circle's highs and lows - meetings, arrests, paranormal investigations, spats, book signings, court cases, revenge plots, dodgy TV appearances, bad hair days, and petty lives. All this is presented largely in diary form and more infrequently in fragments such as press clippings, transcripts, and general mundane nonsense. (Though to be fair, most of the time, the paranormal is merely the small, convenient, and inconsequential hub around which their lives and meetings revolve.)

Please note that plunging in with the most recent diary entries may result in confusion...however mundane and flimsy, there are vague threads running through many of the diaries which a reader may get more from if they start at the beginning. If not, don't come crying to us when you don't quite know what is going on - we probably can't hear you as the sound knob broke off our internet.

The site is attended to as much as possible - the most frequently updated parts of the site being the diaries and the archive for the previous months. Site and content updates are detailed on Twitter which can be subscribed to by the link on the right.
