Devon Brawn
Not a member of the respected local circle, but an important person none the less. Brawn is in his early thirties and was confirmed a sceptic at the shrine of Rabble in 'the Sanctuary of Mary, the Sacred Contrary'. He is a sworn enemy of Fenwick Arcana, and public critic of the circle and of people generally having friends.
Brawn is an disillusionist, or ‘smug wizard’ with an up and coming television program called 'Mind Over Money' which has just begun it’s new series on channel 94. Brawn had a public spat with Arcana recently which involved much hair pulling and hand slapping. *see below*
Brawn’s latest book, ‘Last One Picked’ is a direct sequel to his previous work, ‘Spit on Your Own Tissue, Mummy’ which is in direct competition with Arcana’s book, (Travels With My Spirit Guide). Their scrap in Waterstones was well documented in the local and national press, and led to a compensation claim by Brawn for repairs to a damaged fedora. Arcana counter sued for damage to his bouffant – both cases are still ongoing.
Brawn courted controversy in the first season of his television show by recording a live show entitled ‘Oops, I Shot Your Sister’. He was publicly slammed after announcing at the end of the show that: ‘No sisters were shot during the making of the program’. He was subsequently hauled over the coals for false advertising and for using blank cartridges.
Brawn’s latest venture is to start up his own circle of like minded disillusionist and wizards to rival the circle and to take his show on the road, spreading a snail trail of scepticism across the country.
Additional notes:
Brawn’s publishing agent is Warner B Different and the first season of Mind Over Money is now available on DVD for £14.99 or as a limited edition which contains a black rock and a torn betting slip for £39.99 and is crawling off a shelf near you.
